Tampa Fall Party – Costume & Carving

The Friends of Internationals at USF will hold its annual Fall Costume and Pumpkin carving party on Friday October 26th. The party begins promptly at 6 pm and ends around 9 pm. All internationals are welcomed! Join the party at the BCM/FI USF campus building where will will have pumpkin pie eating, pumpkin carving, candy corn, and fun, food, and games.

Costume Contest: There will be a prize (gift card) for the best costume! Costume rules: This is a family event (children will be present) so all costumes must be appropriate to be seen by children, no sexual or morbid costumes.

Pumpkin Carving Contest: We will break up into teams of 3-4 and carve pumpkins. The team with the best pumpkin wins a gift card

Fall Break at Camp McCall, SC

In 2011 Friends of Internationals at Clemson took 35 students from 10 different countries for an overnight trip to McCall Royal Ambassadors Camp on Lake Chillywater, SC. The trip included 13 American hosts from 6 area Churches. These leaders made sure everyone enjoyed themselves. The retreat included hiking through the woods, a skeet shooting event, and riding the “sling shot” and “Zipline,”. This was a great time to get to know someone and make a new friend. You can review photographs of the event here.

South Carolina Spring Break Trips

In March, The Friends of Internationals at Clemson University traveled to historic Charleston, SC during Spring Break. The trip included 34 International Students (from 9 countries: China, Uzbekistan, India, Ukraine, Iraq, Japan, Poland, Russia & Tanzania). They spent their time playing on the beach, visiting the historic sights, and just enjoying the new friendships at a beach house. See Photos of the trip HERE. Christmas Break in Tallahassee

The Friends of Internationals ministries at USF and FSU will hold a joint retreat in Tallahassee for their students on December 10-12. This retreat includes staying in an American home, participating in a Christmas party, attend a church service with your American host home, visiting various places in Tallahassee including the Florida state Capital building and the Florida State Caverns. Space is limited. Int’l Thanksgiving Boston Banquet

Clemson Christmas Home Visit

The Clemson Friends of Internationals club is setting up home visits for students and scholars who would like to stay in an American home during the upcoming Christmas semester break. Students and scholars will be hosted by an American family for a few days between December 17th and January 1st. Most American homes will have a Christmas tree, family visits, and spend time relaxing with friends.
